Derbion has announced the official opening date of famed American fried chicken restaurant, Popeyes® UK, which will open within the centre’s Food Terrace later this month.
The US fried chicken brand will open its doors within Derbion’s Food Terrace on Level 2 from 11am on Saturday 22nd October. The menu will feature Popeyes®’ renowned Chicken Sandwich which ‘broke the internet’ when it launched in the US, as well as mouth-watering favourites including Signature Louisiana Chicken, Chicken tenders, and the Popeyes® Biscuit with gravy.
To celebrate the arrival at the shopping destination, Popeyes® UK will be pulling out all the stops on its opening date (Saturday 22nd October) to showcase its Southern hospitality, including rolling out an orange carpet and giving away limited-edition merchandise.
What’s more, the first three customers through Popeyes®’ doors will win free Chicken Sandwiches for a whole year* – the ultimate prize for every fried chicken fan, with the first 50 guests also receiving a free Chicken Sandwich and official Popeyes® UK merchandise. Chicken fans are advised to arrive early to be in with the chance of getting their hands on the extremely limited prizes, with fans at previous openings arriving in the early hours.
Derbion’s popular Food Terrace is currently undergoing a £2 million refurbishment to bring a fresh new look, additional seating and new brands, which includes Popeyes®, with more brands set to be announced over the coming weeks.

Popeyes® will open in Derbion’s Food Terrace from 11am on Saturday 22nd October.
