Now in its 15th year, the awards are recognised as the region’s largest business celebration, shining a spotlight on the innovation, resilience, and achievements of companies across East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire.
For the first time, Timms is taking part as a sponsor, backing the Small Business of the Year Award – a category that highlights the excellence of businesses with fewer than 20 employees. Judging covers every aspect of success, including financial performance, leadership, staff development, innovation, social responsibility, sustainability, and future growth.
Fiona Moffat, Managing Partner at Timms, said:
“We are delighted to be one of the sponsors of this year’s awards. It is a privilege to join so many other respected local and national organisations in supporting an event that celebrates business success in our region. Networking and building connections within the local business community is hugely important to us at Timms.”
Timms has been part of the Burton business community for many years. In 2024, the firm moved into its new home at Anson Court on Horninglow Street – a sympathetically restored former industrial building – to accommodate its continued growth.
Last year’s awards saw a record number of entries from local businesses. This year, organisations can choose from ten categories, with finalists visited by the judging panel in October. The winners will be announced at the gala awards evening in November, held at the prestigious Pirelli Stadium, home of Burton Albion Football Club.
Fiona added:
“The East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire Business Awards are a fantastic way to recognise the incredible work businesses are doing across the area. We’re really looking forward to celebrating with the finalists and applauding their achievements on the night.”
