General Counsel and a member of the Executive Team at Rolls-Royce, Mark takes up the position this Spring, after already joining the QUAD board at the start of the year.
Speaking on his appointment Mark said:
“I’m both privileged and excited to become the new Chair of QUAD at an ambitious moment for both the charity and the city of Derby. QUAD has grown to become a cornerstone of the city’s cultural offer which my family and I have regularly enjoyed as patrons. I look forward to working with fellow board members, QUAD staff, Derby City Council, Arts Council England, key partners and, of course, our guests as we work towards a bright future.”
Mark takes over following the resignation of Brian Martin Walsh OBE, who brought an end to his two-and-a-half year period as Chair.
Mark added: “I want to say a huge thank you on behalf of myself and the rest of the board to Brian, who has steered QUAD through unprecedented times during the Covid-19 pandemic. His resilience and dedication means he leaves QUAD in a great position.”
