About Draycott Tap House review.
Micropub located in Draycott serving an ever-changing selection of real ales along with ciders, wines, soft drinks and traditional pub snacks. Easily accessible via Draycott bus routes.
2016 was a great year for Derbyshire’s micropub scene, and this trend has continued into 2017 with the opening of a new micropub in the village of Draycott aptly named the Draycott Tap House.
One of the first things that struck me about this former picture shop turned micropub is the exterior signage. With a beautiful vintage green and ornate font style, it was the perfect nod to traditional pubs of the past.
The drinks range available at the Draycott Tap House certainly offers something for everyone. For starters there are up to 8 real ales available; 4 from owners Draycott Brewing Company and 4 guest ales, and all straight from the cask.
Even better news for CAMRA members is that discounts are available upon showing your membership card. In addition to real ales there are also real ciders, a range of fine wines, prosecco, craft gins and soft drinks available, plus crisps and nuts.
Only open for 3 weeks (at time of writing), it is already proving to be a popular drinking venue in Draycott. Indeed it was certainly busy and it was clear to me why, with excellent ales and superb hosts who made everyone welcome and were very engaging.
And it’s not just the locals that approve of the Draycott Tap House, I was informed that several people have been travelling from further afield to visit.
I had a fantastic time at this Derbyshire micropub and it certainly won’t be my last visit.
