This year, for the first time, Cancer Research UK is inviting everyone in the area – women, men and children – to join the Race for Life.
We are urging mums, dads, nans, grandpas, brothers, sisters, friends and workmates to show their support by joining the Race for Life. It’s a perfect example of everyday people doing an extraordinary thing – uniting in a common cause to beat cancer.
The Derby course is set within the 200 acres of parkland of Markeaton Park. This is a picturesque venue featuring many different gardens and wildlife areas – one of the most popular parks in the East Midlands. The course is a mixture of terrains and suitable for women of all abilities to walk, jog or run. The 10k course is a double lap of the 5k course.
All money raised will go into Cancer Research UK’s crucial work.
