Families in Derby will have the chance to meet Paddington™ this Christmas, with a special free appearance at Potters House Church.
Paddington™ will be greeting visitors at Potters House Church, 2–3 St Peter’s Churchyard, near St Peter’s Church in Derby, between 11:00am and 3:45pm. Guests are encouraged to bring their cameras, as there will be plenty of opportunities to take photographs.
Gemma Pindard, Deputy Manager for the Cathedral Quarter BID and St Peters Quarter BID, said:
“The team and I are thrilled to welcome Paddington™ to Derby. We know how many families are going to want to see him and it is wonderful that he will be in Derby from 11am.”
The event has been organised and funded by the St Peters Quarter BID as part of its commitment to delivering a full programme of activities in the city in the run-up to Christmas.
Gemma added:
“We have worked really hard to create a family-friendly Christmas atmosphere in Derby over the last few weeks and we have enjoyed some wonderful entertainment for shoppers to enjoy. To avoid disappointment, we are advising parents to book their free time slot as this guarantees meeting the character. On the day, we will be accepting walk-ins, but this will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Opportunities to meet your favourite character don’t come along very often, so we hope as many families as possible will come and enjoy this fantastic, free event.”
