IOSH Managing Safely is an internationally recognised qualification for supervisors and managers. Covering the basics of health, safety and environment in one course, delegates should leave feeling confident and enthusiastic about implementing good health and safety practices in their work areas.

The course will take place over three days and will feature a range of case studies and scenarios to help reinforce the key learning points.The course is classroom based.

  • The training will cover a range of subjects including:
  • Assessing risks
  • Controlling risks
  • Understanding responsibilities
  • Understanding hazards
  • Investigating incidents
  • Measuring performance

The benefits to the business can include improved company-wide safety awareness and appreciation of safety measures, greater productivity and fewer hours lost due to sickness and accidents. The delegate should leave the course feeling confident in practical actions they need to take and how to tackles safety and health issues in the areas they are responsible for.

There will be an exam at the end of the course and a practical assignment that must be submitted within a specified time frame. On passing the examination and practical assignment you will receive an IOSH Managing Safely certificate.
