Canned Pineapple bring their UK Tour to Derby
One of the UK's most exciting emerging guitar bands is heading to Derby this autumn as Canned Pineapple bring their UK tour to The Vic Inn on Friday 6th November.
Hailing from Brighton, the five-piece have quickly become one of the country's hottest new live acts. Following the release of their acclaimed second EP Big Break, the band have picked up support from BBC Radio 6 Music, Radio X, BBC Introducing, Clash, Dork, So Young and Rolling Stone UK, while building a reputation for unforgettable live performances.
After appearances at Truck Festival, Y Not Festival, The Great Escape and festivals across Europe and New York, they're now bringing their energetic blend of scuzz-pop, power-pop and post-punk to one of Derby's most intimate venues.
Supporting them are The Blooms, one of Derby's brightest new alternative rock bands. Their debut EP Reminisceshowcased a sound rooted in the garage rock revival of the 2000s while drawing inspiration from their Derby upbringing. The release earned multiple plays across BBC Introducing East Midlands and established them as one of the region's bands to watch.
Opening the evening are local favourites Derventio, whose raw, high-energy alternative rock sound makes them the perfect band to kick off what's set to be an unforgettable night.
With a touring headliner, one of Derby's finest emerging bands and a powerful local opener, this promises to be one of the standout alternative rock shows of the autumn.
