Offering a fun-filled day out for families across the region, Derbion has announced that its much-loved dinosaur-themed activities will return to the centre throughout the Easter holidays.
Following a successful first year in 2023, Derbion has revealed that visitors can once again enjoy its popular dinosaur experience as it rejoins the centre with 14 huge, animatronic dinos from Thursday 28 March to Monday 15 April.
Throughout the event, visitors are invited to embark on Derbion’s free trail in search of giant dinosaurs, that are complete with realistic sounds and fascinating movements, and discover key information about their favourite breeds including T-Rex, Carnotaurus and Triceratops.
Returning bigger and better, this years’ experience will feature seven brand-new dinosaurs including The Velociraptor, Allosaurus and more, giving little dinosaur-lovers the opportunity to expand their knowledge on their favourite creatures. Plus, families can strike a pose with a variety of species and enjoy a free-of-charge photo opportunity inside a dinosaur egg.
Alongside its free Dino Trail, visitors can also immerse themselves in a palaeontologist workshop for just £4 per child. With additional slots added for 2024 due to popular demand, the 30-minute sessions give children the chance to experience palaeontology first-hand. Using specialist tools to uncover the fossils inside, little ones can look forward to excavating clay blocks and re-constructing a T-rex fossil. Tickets for the interactive workshops can be purchased online via the Derbion website now.
Beth McDonald, Managing Director of Derbion, said: “After the popularity of last year, it’s clear that dinosaurs continue to fascinate people of all ages, so we’re thrilled to be bringing the much-loved experience back for another year!
“Dinosaur fans old and young have the fantastic opportunity to once again enjoy a hands-on dino experience throughout the Easter holidays, and we can’t wait to welcome the dinos back to Derbion this month.”
