In that time, the city-centre-based charity has supported over 194,000 people across Derby, including children and adults facing food insecurity.
“We’re a small team doing big things,” said manager Paul Brookhouse. “Five years on, we’re still seeing huge demand, and we’re proud to keep stepping up.”
What began as a pandemic response with five partner projects has grown to 17 citywide. Beyond food, DF4TA now supports families with uniforms, coats, Christmas meals, and more.
The charity recently launched its “100 Club”, calling on local businesses to donate £100 a month—enough to feed 20 children for three days. “Every pound counts,” Paul added. “And we couldn’t do it without our brilliant volunteers.”
