Ye Olde Dolphin Inne

The Dolphin is Derby's oldest pub, dating back to 1530AD. Its age gives the place character and charm. With roaring real fires, guest real ales on tap and out the jug, as well as hearty, home-cooked food, you're always promised a satisfying and pleasant visit. The staff are knowledgeable about the ales and other drinks that are available. Prices are good for both food and drinks. It's a great place to visit with friends, or to go to solo to sit with your favourite book, a pint and plate of steaming pie and chips.

Went here for a pre-match meal and ordered a burger and chips for £5, which is pretty reasonable given the price of everything these days. However, it didn't come for 30 mins and when it finally came it was burnt to a crisp, I sent it back and in another 20 mins I got the replacement, which was well-done and that's me being polite. Nice pub and ambiance but needs to tweak its food offering as it just wasn't up to scratch.
