Quirky independent city centre pub.

Established in 2007, Bar One serves craft beers, real ales including one brewed especially for their pub dog, Buddy, and a vast selection of spirits.

Regularly showing live music, comedy (Edinburgh Festival Preview Shows every July, TV comics we’ve hosted include Paul Sinha – ITV’s The Chase , Gary Delaney – Mock The Week) and theatre.

The popular beer garden was Derby’s first purpose built entertainment space, with stage, heating and a retractable roof.

Sports are available to watch through Sky Sports and BT Sports on all the big screens 3 inside the pub, plus a giant screen in the garden!

There is also a pool table, darts and retro space invaders table.

Open Mic night every Sunday.

The Gin Joint at No.1 Newland has an extensive gin menu with over 60 gins and have regular events including Pimp My Gin and Gin & Swing.
