Popular local pub, Mr Grundys is a cosy interestingly decorated ale house situated on Ashbourne Road.
Mr Grundy’s Tavern, situated on the popular Ashbourne Road and a short walk up from the even more popular Friargate, is a traditional Derby pub.
Friday and Saturday nights can be quite busy with a good mix of locals, students and regulars. The open log fire gives the pub a cosy feel in those cold winter months.
Claiming to have ‘probably the best beer garden in the world’, smokers are well catered for with both covered areas at the back of the pub and neighbouring hotel.
Food is served 7 days a week.
Sunday lunch is served from from 12:00pm till 4:00pm and includes all the typical roast types, roast beef, roast pork, roast chicken, their famous lamb shank or Mediterranean vegetable lasagna are all on offer.
