The natural slopes, butterfly garden and Café make Darley Park a must visit if you want more than just a park.

Given to the city of Derby by the Evans family, Darley park features natural beauty with its long sloping hills and tree lined borders. There is also a Café with outside seating serving hot and cold food; a children’s play area with swings, climbing frame and see-saw; an old pub, the Abbey, which is a Sam Smiths pub so you can expect a reasonably priced pint; a cricket field; the Derwent river and a butterfly garden which is full of flowers in the summer. It is a real hidden gem and a lovely spot for a walk in the warm weather.

Parking is available in Chester Green or Darley Abbey. You can also the park on Duffield road, through a gate at the end of a road that is across from the Broadway Pub.

If you are looking to get fit, British Military Fitness run a outdoor fitness group here throughout the week.
