Join us for an unforgettable night of folk-punk with Jess Silk and Joe Solo as they reunite for a double-headliner gig in Derby, part of their highly anticipated UK Tour this November 2025!

After the success of their co-headline tour at the end of 2024, these two powerhouse artists are hitting the road once more to deliver their passionate, politically charged brand of folk/punk music to venues across the country. We’re thrilled to welcome them to Mr Shaw's House for what promises to be an incredible evening of live music.

Meet the Artists:

Jess Silk
Hailing from the Black Country, Jess Silk is a gifted guitarist, singer, and songwriter known for her raw, shouty yet melodic folk/punk sound. Armed with only her acoustic guitar and a voice that’s as distinctive as it is powerful, Jess captivates audiences wherever she plays. Her music is driven by heartfelt lyrics and a genuine connection to the crowd.

Since releasing her debut album Break the Bottle in May 2018, Jess has been making waves in the folk/punk scene, playing to packed venues across the UK. Her recent work, including Blitz Spirit (2021) and an upcoming EP set for release in April 2025, continues to showcase her ability to capture the spirit of the times. Jess has performed at major festivals like Bearded Theory, Rebellion, Beautiful Days, and Glastonbury, where she shared the stage with Billy Bragg as part of his Radical Roundup.

Joe Solo
Joe Solo, a multi-talented musician, writer, activist, and broadcaster from Scarborough, has built a legacy with his unique blend of folk, punk, and blues. With over 21 albums to his name, Joe’s music is as socially conscious as it is captivating. His career has seen him perform in nine countries, fronting pop-punk band Lithium Joe and pursuing his own solo projects.

Known for his thought-provoking lyrics, Joe has become a prominent figure in the world of political music. He has written books on social justice, hosted radio shows, and even ran a project on the Hull Pals Battalions during World War I. His 2024 album Sledgehammer Songs hit the Top 40 of the UK Folk Chart, and the tour raised over £12,000 for community causes. With his engaging live performances, Joe blends comedy, politics, and powerful storytelling into something truly unforgettable.

This will be a night to remember! Don't miss your chance to see these two incredible artists bring their energy and message to Derby’s Mr Shaw's House. We look forward to seeing you there!
