Darley Abbey is a pleasant suburb on the edge of the Derby city boundary. Formally a mill village it is easily walkable from the city centre in 20 minutes. Upon arriving in Darley Abbey you are greeted by green parks, Grade 2 listed mill cottages and the commanding site of the Darley Abbey Mills which is home to many businesses. Take a turn about Darley park and finish up at the wine bar to sit by the fire and have a much needed break.
